We learned about forces and about push and pull. We did an activity about it. We had to push against each other whilst being balanced. If one person pushed too hard then the other person would fall down or move backwards.

Room 2 Week 4 Weekly Reflection

This week we are using the Blue Thinking Hat for our reflection. The thinking we are trying to do is looking at what do we do next with the activities we have completed in the class.
Art-Paper mache shapes with Tinga Tinga Art on it with the colours of the thinking hat
Art-Complete a fish with Tinga Tinga designs on it
Swimming-Kicking in the water and putting your face and head under the water
Maths-Make a real pizza and do fraction activities with it
Science-Creating our own forces at home and then showing them at school
Reading-Smurf group to make smurf puppets for our stage box we have found in the classroom. Other groups could also create their characters as puppets
Art-Making our reading groups names in Tinga Tinga design
Art-Using the vocabulary signs we created and putting Tinga Tinga designs on to it.

Art-Complete a cat using Tinga Tinga designs
Reading-Choose Library books at Library and then selecting books that children would like to read from Room 2
I am really impressed with how the class was able to connect and give reasons why we should do these activities next!! GREAT THINKING

1. Writing-Adding more detail to our stories

3. Spelling-Spelling tests

Room 2 cool day

Room 2 had a great day yesterday. We went in to the pool and we did our initials in class using place value blocks.

Weekbix kiwi kids tryathlon

In four weeks we are doing the tryathlon. Mr C has signed us all in. It is going to be fun. 21 people have signed up from Hope School. Ag

We have bean learning to swim in our school pool. Sometimes it feels freezing cold so people get out quickly. CB/ZF

Room 2 Week 2 Reflection

This week we are going to reflect on our feelings based on the Red Hat of De Bono's Thinking Hats.

People voted lots of times because they had experienced different feelings at different times. At the start of the week some people were nervous and throughout the week they got more comfortable with Room 2.

We had to get some special things in a treasure box to learn about other people. Then we took a photo and then we said if we were similar or different. AG

Since Maia and Laura got back to school it has been great. We love learning and Laura does not like sitting. We both get a bit restless and We LOVE our NEW DESKS !

Hope schools first day

Hope school's first day was great. We loved it. We had a blast and it was really hot. We have the best teacher and he's awesome and fun. Caleb and Ezra are pod partners. After all the hard work we played chicken and hero.
