Rod Dixon

<How lucky was Hope School having an Olympic Champion visiting? Rod Dixon won a bronze medal for New Zealand in Munich at the 1972 Olympic Games.  One of his greatest achievements was winning the New York Marathon, in the last mile, in 1983.  His motto is Finishing is Winning ... Winning is Finishing.  We are applying this to our cross country training - maybe Room 2 has a future Olympic Champion.

What an amazing opportunity these lucky kids have, practising their riding skills each week at RDA Richmond. Way to go, Thomas, Taran and Luke.

We have an awesome bunch of 25 Year 3 & 4 children. We are ready to learn and will go far this year:)

Gymnastics Festival

Some Year 4 children entered the Nelson Gymnastics Competition. It was the first time Hope School had competed and they were all awesome. David Macintosh came 3rd overall in the Level 1 Boys, 1st on bar, Rylan Marshall came 1st on vault, Deven Andrews came 2nd on vault. David, Rylan, Deven and Edward Swain placed 3rd in the Team event. Well done to Emily Del-Favero and Monika Collins for entering in the girls Level 1.
